As soon as your child begins to talk, we are able to test their eyes. We can use picture charts or symbols if your child isn’t fluent with their alphabet or numbers yet. We can also organise referrals to Children’s Eye Hospital or a local Paediatric (kids) Eye Specialist if there are further concerns with your child’s eyes or if they are too young to be thoroughly tested in our clinic.

Concerns that you may have about your child’s eyes are:
– child’s eye or eyes appear like they are turned in or out when looking at you
– child keeps blinking his or her eyes
– eyes are watery or itchy
– holds phone or book very close
– squints when looking at things in the distance or can’t read the board in class
– there’s a lump on the child’s eye or eyelid

Eye examinations are bulk billed through Medicare.
